Hello All!
So, today was meant to work out all the kinks from the operation we like to call "the internet". We should all be able to log on to Drive and Follow the course Blogger account, meaning everyone should have uploaded tonight by midnight:
(1) Doodle from Monday
(2) Paragraph of text doodle (1 and 2 can be the same upload)
Before class Friday, everyone should have the following uploaded to the Stage 1 folder, labeled accordingly:
(1) Rough Draft Essay 1a
(2) Rough Draft w/ Peer Feedback
(3) Rough Draft Essay 1b (This should have the feedback applied to the draft, meaning changes should be made accordingly).
Once these are posted, I will review them and provide me own feedback over each draft. You will see them uploaded to your folder name as Rough Draft Essay 1c during the weekend; anticipate seeing them sometime Sunday.
8/30/13 Lecture:
Also for Friday, make sure everyone brings a copy of the Browns and Wardle reading. Try to read it using the tips given in class (read sections at a time, the abstract to get an overall idea, make notes next to every paragraph you read summarizing what you read, highlight, etc.). I expect more involvement during the lecture ;-)
8/30/13 Workshop:
For the workshop, bring your drafts with the applied feedback of your peers. You will show the person who gave you feedback how you took and applied it to your paper. See if you are both on the same page for feedback. We will talk a little more about feedback (keep an eye out for a possible handout under the reading list on Blogger) and how to give/take constructively.
