This article is talking about the progress from one stage to another in a matter of steps throughout the writing process. In this article she is also mentioning the difference between student writers and experienced writers. Students seem to think they can revise a paper by simply changing the words or changing a sentence. Experienced writers never really finish revising. a paper is never perfect, there's always plenty of room for revision. This article is also explaining how sometimes students write and expect perfection, they think they have to fix every little thing for the teacher to approve, but really, they're not writing for themselves. Experienced writers look at there work and work on their message towards the reader, they don't expect perfection, they just want the reader to understand what they're trying to say in the best way possible.
ReplyDeleteand i would have to say that i agree on everything this article said
DeleteRevision Strategies of Experienced Writers, Page 384, First Paragraph
ReplyDelete*I agree that on my first draft I need to wait and see what I want to say before I move on but one thing I do not agree about is why I would stick with one draft if they always say it’s best if you do more than one draft. Also in the article they are like giving us rules. So I mostly disagree on this.
I agree with Briana statement. Ive always learn that pratice makes everything better in every problem. I know your first draft isnt going to be your best why stick with it. I mean you always have to imporve and to do that you have to keep on making drafts and impoving it. Everyone is different so not every thing this article isnt related to me.
ReplyDeleteThis article is talking about the process of stages and Experience Writers views on Revised Process. The method they used was to experiment Student Writers and Experience Writers. On page 384 First paragraph " The experienced writers... the line of arguments", I agree with what it saying because you do need to write more than one draft. Experience writers write more than one draft to express what they want to say and help readers comprehend their writing.
ReplyDeleteThis article is about Revision strategies in writing process and writers' point of view. I though that this article is mainly a comparison betwen regular students and experienced writers revisions and steps through the writing process. In my opinion I think that is important to do drafts and make corrections in our drafts to improve it.I think that is a great idea to obey or follow the advices of the experienced writers. I agree with this paragraph in page 384 "I have learned from experience that I need to keep writing a first draft until I figure out what I want to say." because I consider that practice is so valuable .
ReplyDeleteThe article talks about Revision strategies and "stages".Its comparing Students writers and experienced writers in their writing process. In page 380 it said, "Most Students...or rewriting." In my opinion it tells me that most student writers develop wrong revision and writing strategies. In page 383 "One aim...revision processes." It's telling us on how experience writers see revision differently from student writers. They can rewrite a draft 5 times and still wont be satisfied. What I believe it's trying to tell me is that there is no such thing as a perfect writing but you can strive for it. I like this article because it can show us the students to learn to look at our writing in a different way. It can show us on how to become a better writers.
ReplyDelete*I agree
DeleteThis article is about revision process. It shows a comparison between the revisions and steps that some regular students and experienced writers have. I agree with what it says on page 384 ´´The experienced writers... of their argument´´ because i consider that the first thing to do when revising is to find the ´form´ or meaning of an argument so we can improve it with some other draft.
ReplyDeleteThis article is talking about the series of steps that some writers may take to improve their writing skills. Revision strategies that will eventually help us. I really do agree with this article because it certainly does give some examples on what the average learner may have problems in there writing. For example there was a paragraph that talked about word repetition, this used to happen to me a lot back then. I still remember that day when my teacher told me that i was using I & AND a little too much. So next time there was to write an essay i didn't used these two words at all, I don't know how I managed to do that. This essay seems to clarify any single problem we may have with some answers that are truly useful.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that your applying the information in the article to real life situations. Not everyone does that.
DeleteThis article is about revision strategies and stages of them. It explain every stage of each one and their importance of them. I agree with the article because I think that if everyone revise their draft they would find mistakes. I think that revising is a very important method to apply on a draft to improve it. I know that at the first time I start an essay I always commit mistakes, and revising is a solution for that mistakes.
ReplyDeleteTo me this article is a comparison between experience writers and biginers and it shows the steps to improve our writing skills,it talks about revision strategies and i agree with it because it shows us how to look at our own paperand be able to revise it and make changes in it in order for it to be a better paper, and it shows us that no paper is perfect but we should always try our best to make it as perfect as posible
ReplyDeletethis article is about revision strategies and stages of it. It makes a comparison between experienced writers and beginners writers and the way they revise their papers.A single person should have more than one draft because even though they revise their paper it is going to have some mistakes. A paper would never be perfect but it can be better than the others.
ReplyDeletethis article talks about the different steps that some writers do to revise their paper. it also says how we the students think that just by changing a word or adding something is revising and for the professional writers their paper its never perfect they always write more than one draft and i agree with that because if we try and try the paper after would be better than the before one it always happened because more ideas come to you
ReplyDeleteThis article reach me in the way the writer, in the beginning, think that revision is just changing words that fit their needs, but tend to forget that their story are not for themselves, but for their audience that reads them. An experience writer will always revise the drafts that needs no perfection, but to convey their feeling and message to the reader, thus I agree to this article
ReplyDeleteI do agree with this article. in some point you do have to put more ideas in your essay or revising , editing on the essay.
ReplyDeleteTo me this article was about the different writing approaches between student writers and experienced writers. Most student writers were didn't think outside the box when it came to revising their papers. They stuck to whatever their paper said and tried to arrange it from there. As to experienced writers they think outside the box and are open for drastic changes to their paper.
ReplyDeleteThis article is about the difference between student writers and experience writers. This article says that students thinks they can revise a paper just by changing a little thing while experience writers never stop revising the papers. I agree with this article
ReplyDeleteThe article is about about revision strategies and stages. The author compares beginner writers and experienced writers in their writing process. In page 380 it said, "Most Students...or rewriting." Personally, I think it talks about that most student writers develop wrong revision and writing strategies. They can rewrite a draft multiple times and still wont be happy with their end result. What I believe the main point the author is trying to get across is there is no such thing as a perfect essay/draft. I like this article because it can show us students how to learn to look at our writing in a different way.
